A Secret to Gaining Patience When Painting With Watercolor

Flowers in watercolor, rose, iris, snapdragon, tulip, bluebell

Do you ever feel that you lose your patient and ruin your watercolor painting because you couldn’t wait for a layer to dry?

Working on several watercolor pieces at once is the secret to developing the patience needed not ruin your watercolor paintings.

Why is that? You might wonder!

Because it’s the perfect way to take your eyes away from one piece in particular and not overwork it. And then you have another piece to move along while waiting for the layers of the first one to dry.

This is the second batch of flowers I have painted to celebrate World Watercolor Month. I’m giving away a watercolor flower every day of the month via my Instagram account.
